Drei - Gleichen

As part of the state program “Solidarity between Generations,” two informative and well-attended evening events organized by the UNESCO Global Geopark Thüringen Inselsberg–Drei Gleichen took place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, and Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Kulturscheune Mühlberg.

The purpose of the events was to bring together citizens of the municipality of Drei Gleichen across generations to exchange memories, experiences, and knowledge about the region. Participants from different age groups discussed geological, historical, and cultural topics in a constructive and open atmosphere.

The Geopark team presented selected content on geology, ongoing projects, and educational opportunities. In addition, key aspects of education for sustainable development (ESD) at Bromacker and the effects of global climate change on the region's natural and cultural heritage were discussed. These technical insights provided valuable starting points for the subsequent exchange.

In moderated discussion rounds and small groups, questions were collected, memories documented, and references to previously overlooked or historically significant places compiled. The insights gained provide an important basis for the further development of future geopark projects and contribute to the preservation of regional knowledge for future generations.

Light refreshments added to the pleasant atmosphere and encouraged personal exchanges among the participants.
