Arnstadt/Berlin

A special anniversary coincides with a premiere: in January 2026, the UNESCO Global Geopark Thüringen Inselsberg – Drei Gleichen will be represented for the first time with its own information stand at the International Green Week in Berlin. At today's press conference in Arnstadt, District Administrator Petra Enders and District Administrator Onno Eckert, together with the exhibitors, presented the concept for the trade fair appearance.

Strong presence in the ‘Thuringian Arch’

From 16 to 25 January 2026, the region will be presenting itself under the umbrella brand ‘Thuringian Arch’ in Hall 20. The joint stand, which was designed by the regional management of the Ilm district and the Gotha district, combines culinary tradition with tourist innovations.

The Geopark will use this international stage from 21 January to present its new logo to the global public. A special focus will be on the dinosaur adventure trail: with the globally unique ‘Bromacker’ dinosaur fossil site between Georgenthal and Tambach-Dietharz, a geotourism highlight will be presented that is sure to delight families in particular.

Ambassador for Thuringia and Germany

The Geopark is not only representing itself in Berlin: it is also proudly representing the network of seven other German UNESCO Global Geoparks and the National Geoparks in Germany. The presentation is accompanied by regional partners such as the Hörseltal Agricultural Centre, the Kleinhettstädt Ostrich Farm and the current Olitäten-Majestät Berit Klaedtke.

‘Our exhibitors represent the innovative strength and deep regional roots of our economy,’ emphasised the district administrators, who will be on site in person during the first weekend of the fair to get a first-hand impression.

Visitors are cordially invited to discover regional specialities in Hall 20, talk to producers and experience the diversity of Thuringia up close.
