Geraberg

A special day for the UNESCO Global Geopark Thüringen Inselsberg–Drei Gleichen: in a festive setting and in front of a large audience, the Mühlencafé Geraberg was officially welcomed into the international GEOfood family. The award was presented by our delegate Dr. Mauro Alivernini to Daniela Wiegand, who has been running the café with impressive passion for 16 years. With its location at the historic Braunsteinmühle mill, directly connected to the Mühlsteinweg (GeoRoute 18) and the emerging GeoInfo centers in Frankenhain and Braunsteinmühle, the Geratal valley is becoming a central location for education, tourism, and regional cuisine in the geopark.
